 Jim and Jessie Chakires started Luggage of Love to provide gift-packed suitcases to children entering foster care. 

Luggage of Love started in 2014, this will be the 9th annual Luggage of Love Campaign to benefit CASA Kane County. In 2022 we raised over $57,500 and over $232,590 since 2014!

Foster children frequently have few belongings; just a couple outfits, photographs, and a stuffed animal or toy. When they are moved between families, these children are often forced to carry their few keepsakes and belongings in plastic trash bags. Carry their items in bags can be embarrassing and yet another reminder of how little they own.
